Combat Gauze
This is good stuff. Used granular, bags, and gauze when deployed post 9-11. It was remarkable to see the progression of the product to combat gauze. With the original granular form, heat was produced as the product is exothermic. While I never saw anyone burned with the granular form, a couple of docs I spoke with document burned tissue. However, it beats the alternative as we used QuikClot as a last resort. The gauze doesn't produce heat because some of the binding sites were occupied on the molecules so the reaction is not so rapid and no exothermic to much degree, if at all. However, the QuikClot impregnated gauze helps promote clotting and is excellent to fill holes left by rounds from firearms. Delivered in two days, outstanding condition, and excellent service from Live Action Safety.
