I’ve been diagnosed with cervical dystonia/spasmodic torticollis (repeated blunt force trauma from Domestic Violence), CIRS, CIDP both from long term exposure to severely high levels of multiple biotoxins, as well as anterior herniation of discs C3-4/4-5....I’d previously used a headmistress collar for respite from the pain & weight of my head (each inch of your head being pulled out of alignment adds 10lbs!); PT & I discussed non-pharmaceutical options for relief / as well as hearing positive results from support group peers w/use of this product, we decided to give it a try. This has been a life saver! Truly I’ve received SO much pain relief, relief from the spasms & constant pulling as well as the overall fatigue I experience due to these diagnoses - particularly the dystonia. The compression, ice pack, & traction combined together makes this a perfect product for anyone suffering with dystonia...the medical community is split about use of bracing in dystonia, but my movement disorder doctor/neurologist/pain management/primary care plus PT all felt like this was an option more-so in that it’s not ‘bracing’ but therapy device to use in your own home for recommenced period of time for multiple times throughout the day. I say at least give it a try, it’s very customizable (hence the ‘multipost’) configuration - the chin height, height of the occipital support pads in the back plus the air bladders can be reset each time you wear it so you can absolutely make it work for you with the change of symptoms that are causing you the most pain on any given day or even throughout the day, best of all most insurers cover this with a doctor’s prescription.
